Pouring a Nitro

Some may question the importance of pouring a nitro but it is paramount to drinking one πŸ˜€

A trained bartender will pour the nitro correctly, giving the most beautiful tight, thick, white head. This guide is for those who want to pour a perfect nitro in the comfort of their own home.

Pour contents straight into the glass. Do not tip the glass.

Drinking a Nitro

Take a huge whiff.

If that does not excite you then proceed to the ER, there may be something wrong with you πŸ™‚

Continue with that first sip that should seal the deal if the smell didn’t completely do it for you πŸ˜‰

It’s not called a Milk Stout for nothing, wipe upper lip after drinking or understand people are staring at your milk mustache.

Enjoy πŸ™‚ This dark beauty goes down smoothly.

  4. Some great points about Nitro. I just love them and I’m always tempted when I see them on draft, no matter the style of beer. Excellent photos of Left Hand, too!

    • Thank you! I am tempted too but I do think it takes some talent to do a Nitro well…I have had many that don’t have enough carbonation and I am not a fan of “flat” beer…Do you have a favorite Nitro I should try? πŸ™‚

      • Odell Brewing makes a few, I like the IPA since it is unique – not a dark beer. We have it in Minneapolis, not sure how common it is.

        • Hey! I will be in Minneapolis in a couple weeks…I won’t have a lot of time but are there any places I should definitely check out!? (beer and food related πŸ™‚

          • well, YES! For beer (as in breweries) I would recommend Fulton and Indeed as both have cool taprooms. For a great bar I would say Muddy Waters, The Lowry, or The Happy Gnome (St Paul). Food: 112 Eatery, Tilia, Isles Bun (breakfast), Hell’s Kitchen.

          • oh my goodness, thank you!! I am excited πŸ™‚
