Not only did the label and beer name intrigue me but a friend mentioned something about bubblegum…of course I couldn’t understand the description until trying it 🙂

A Little Sumpin’ Wild had a sweetness too it but not too sweet…it was full of complex fruit flavors yet balanced with hops. The flavor changed from lightly sweet in your mouth to a slightly bitter taste upon the finish.

High in alcohol content (8.80% ABV) but with such a smooth balance it was hard to tell. It is golden in color. The bomber (22 fl oz) is perfect for two 🙂

Since we are getting a little wild in this post, I am posting a country song. For some reason I have been craving country this week…and this song has been in my head!

  4. I also love the name of this beer! A cute & lovely bottle too! 🙂

  5. I just had this the other night and enjoyed it; Lagunitas A Little Sumpin’ Sumpin’ is my new favorite Summer beer, so I knew I’d probably like Sumpin’ Wild.

It’s funny how each person’s palate is different, I didn’t get anything bubblegum flavor, instead I had a big sour taste before the hops came in and rounded off the overall flavor.

    • Very interesting! I didn’t get anything sour, only a little bitter but it was calmed very well by the light sweetness. Bubblegum was in my head before I tried it…I don’t think I could have come up with that on my own but I think it had a sweetness to it. Thanks for commenting!! 😀

  1. […] The Little Sumpin’ Wild has the same base as the Little Sumpin’ Sumpin’ but it uses a different yeast. It is made with the Westhmalle Trappist yeast that gives it completely different flavors. It gets citrus from the hops and bubble gum flavor from the wheat. (See full review here) […]
