Lilly Sue’s Bites and Brews has been alive for about 8 months. When I first started the blog I was finishing up my Bachelor’s and then I am now working on my Master’s so I haven’t quite been able to spend a lot of time on it yet but I enjoy doing it when I can. It is a great outlet for me and I constantly find myself searching other blogs when I should be studying π
Yesterday marked my blog reaching 1000 likes and about a week ago I surpassed my goal of 200 followers. I have been honored with so many great followers and visitors to my blog.
I am no writer and that is why I typically have more pictures than words. I am an engineer so writing is not my top quality but I love writing this blog. I love all the comments. I have had many great comments but this is one of the recent ones that left me with a huge smile:
“You are darling! I love your blog, your enthusiasm that transcends the written word. Youβre contagious :)”
~Karista from karistaskitchen.com/
Even through my blogging, I have had a couple bloggers say I would be great for their son or cousin, lol. I am glad my personality jumps out of the page π

The Blog of the Year Award 2012
All Things Boys awarded me a newly created award called the Blog of the Year Award 2012. It is so greatly appreciated!! If you haven’t already definitely check her blog out.
As you can see there is one gold star with the possibility of six in total.
The βrulesβ for this award are simple:
1 Select the blog(s) you think deserve the βBlog of the Year 2012β Award
2 Write a blog post and tell us about the blog(s) you have chosen β thereβs no minimum or maximum number of blogs required β and βpresentβ them with their award.
3 Please include a link back to this page βBlog of the Year 2012β Award β http://thethoughtpalette.co.uk/our-awards/blog-of-the-year-2012-award/ and include these βrulesβ in your post (please donβt alter the rules or the badges!)
4 Let the blog(s) you have chosen know that you have given them this award and share the βrulesβ with them
5 You can now also join our Facebook group β click βlikeβ on this page βBlog of the Year 2012β Award Facebook group and then you can share your blog with an even wider audience
6 As a winner of the award β please add a link back to the blog that presented you with the award β and then proudly display the award on your blog and sidebar β¦ and start collecting stars
Yes β thatβs right β there are stars to collect!
Unlike other awards which you can only add to your blog once β this award is different!
When you begin you will receive the β1 starβ award β and every time you are given the award by another blog β you can add another star!
There are a total of 6 stars to collect.
Which means that you can check out your favorite blogs β and even if they have already been given the award by someone else β you can still bestow it on them again and help them to reach the maximum 6 stars!
