Santa’s Private Reserve

Today marks the first day of Winter Beer Week (which may last longer than an actual week). There are plenty of local Christmas beers and ones from other states that are so enjoyable.

Santa’s Private Reserve Rogue Ale is a delicious winter beer. The beer pours red-copper in color and is a hoppy winter beer. It has spices and a malty flavor. There is a slight bitterness to the finish but the palette is left with a good taste.

This beer is taken from their classic Saint Rogue Red but with more hops! 🙂

Stay tuned for more winter beers this week! I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas!

  1. I prefer a good dark beer such as Guinness, and I really like coffee beer!

    • Check out the Espresso Stout by Twisted Pine (I posted about it maybe 2 weeks ago). You will LOVE that beer! Also, I will have dark beers for winter beer week as well 🙂

I got to try last year’s brew on tap but I never saw a drop of this year’s. They sound like they were similarly profiled.

    • Rogue has so many great beers but I can’t try them all! Plus they can be a bit expensive at least in CO where we mainly can buy the bombers. Does their Christmas beer forever change?

Rogue, tend to be expensive here to. I don’t know if their X-mas beers changes, brewers tend to tweak their seasonal from year to year. Sometimes they are completely different styles.
