Pineapple Strawberry Margaritas

My friend has been a huge tease about these Pineapple Strawberry Margaritas…a year ago he shows up to a party with all the ingredients to make these amazing margaritas (we had already known each other for about a year at this point). I loved the idea of serving them in pineapple cups and after having one margarita, I wanted another!

He made me WAIT a whole year!! We can all blame him for you guys having to wait for this yummy strawberry margarita in a pineapple. The pineapple cup adds a little fun to the margarita and party. It will definitely impress your guests and make them feel closer to tropical paradise πŸ™‚

Strawberry Margaritas

Ingredients

Limes
Strawberries (optional)
Ice
Tequila (we used Hornitos)
Triple Sec (Cointreau)
Margarita Mix

Preparation

  • Juice limes
  • Prepare strawberries
  • Prepare pineapple cups (if desired)

This is not an exact recipe but more of a suggested amount. Fill a blender about 1/2 to 3/4 full with ice. In a regular sized blender you want about 2 to 2 1/2 cups of tequila. Then in ratio to the tequila you want about a 1/3 of it Cointreau (roughly 1 and 1/3-2/3 cup) and 1/2 Margarita Mix (roughly 1 cup). Add the juice of 3 limes and a handful of strawberries.

Blend well and serve to your thirsty guests!

Preparing Pineapple Cups

Start by cutting off the top of the pineapple but make sure to not cut too much so you don’t put a whole in your cup. Next, cut the pineapple in half.

Cut chunks out of top but make sure to not go too deep with the knife. Use a spoon to go deeper in the pineapple and scoop out the rest.

The pineapple cups are not a necessity but add “sophistication,” lol. This picture is actually from last year and the whole point of it was to joke my friend about how the pineapple margarita is nothing special…but we all know that is not the truth!
