Red White and Boom

Arriving to Columbus, Ohio there was a beer waiting for me with a nice cold mug 🙂 My family knows me too well…

Red White and Boom is the 4th of July event that occurs in Columbus, Ohio. It happens on July 3 and is an all day event in downtown Columbus. Unfortunately, I didn’t make the event because I came in late but it sounds like a lot of fun!

For the holiday my brother and I got up and worked out (left me sore today!) and then went to the pool.

After all that fun we made some yummy mint juleps and started grilling.

Mint Julep

My brother loves cooking and planned out the whole holiday meal.

Pork Shish Kabobs

We grilled some pork shish kabobs as an appetizer. They were so juicy and delicious!

We grilled a full chicken with a PBR for dinner. The bricks and foil was a contraption made to grill the full chicken upright.

Dinner was enjoyed with some white wine. It was very light, delicate and crisp

Dinner was a full grilled chicken, potato salad, and corn on the cob. The potato salad was so delicious…red skin potatoes topped with sour cream, fresh dill, salt and pepper.

I hope everyone had an amazing 4th of July!! I sure did 😀

If you find the time to drink and review some brews get your hands on some beer from Hoppin Frog Brewing, or Thirsty Dog Brewing. Sorry for not getting back to you sooner.

    • Thank you! I will try to get to those breweries 🙂 We are going around the Brewery district tomorrow. 😀

      • The ones you mentioned are in Akron so I might only get to try the bottled version…but we will go to some breweries in Columbus 🙂
