Backcountry Breakfast Stout

As summer approaches, my mind starts to wander towards hiking 14ers, volleyball mountain tournaments, camping, and pretty much anything that involves the outdoors. I have no set camping or hiking plans yet, but they are sure to happen! While sipping on the Backcountry Breakfast Stout I could not help but to think it would be the perfect morning sipper on a camping trip! šŸ˜€

The Breakfast Stout by Backcountry Brewery (Frisco, CO) is a coffee infused milk stout. Milk stout just means that they add lactose to the boil which gives it a creamier body. They put locally roasted Guatemalan and Costa Rican coffee from Rocky Mountain Coffee Roasters in the beer. It does not have an overwhelming coffee flavor like some beers but is very perfectly balanced with the malts. It seemed to have lower carbonation but not as low as a nitro. This smooth creamy coffee stout is sure to be a great addition to any camping trip!
