A Delicious Duo from Bootstrap Brewing

Insane Rush has been one of my frequent go-to IPAs for a while. I am always in the mood for it, it is easy to drink, and it never disappoints. Insane Rush is from Bootstrap Brewing in Niwot, CO. On my first visit to Bootstrap I tried multiple tasters, yet when they started canning I stuck with just drinking Insane Rush. It was not until Sticks Pale Ale won the best American-Style Pale Ale at the Great American Beer Festival that I finally grabbed a six-pack.

Sticks Pale Ale is a refreshing and tasty beer. It is much lighter then the Insane Rush IPA even though I would consider them both easy to drink. Sticks is 5.5% while Insane Rush is 7.2% so one will give you a buzz a little quicker. I tasted them next to each other because I was curious to see how they differed. The Insane Rush is a maltier IPA so that became even more evident next to the light pale ale. Though the Insane Rush is not overly hoppy it had a lot more hops than the Sticks. They are definitely both best drank separately due to their different flavor profiles 🙂

I still like the Insane Rush more but I do like more hoppy beers in general and I love the can art! I enjoyed drinking the Stick Pale Ale though and would get it again.

Cheers!

Insane Rush IPA
A perfect balance of malts and five different hops give this India Pale Ale its edge. The unique blend of citrus and pine aroma and flavor makes it a very drinkable IPA. Perfect for craft enthusiasts looking for a little more cowbell…

Sticks Pale Ale
Session beer! Steve (AKA Stick) wanted to craft a beer that he can drink all day long on horseback or rafting or just sitting in the sun on a great summer day and this is it. It’s complimentary to our Insane Rush IPA with a lower ABV so you can enjoy more.
