Dessert By Night

D Bar, located in Uptown, is a divine dessert bar. During the day gourmet food and dessert can be enjoyed but rumor has it that the dessert menu varies depending on the time of day.

The pictures pretty much speak for themselves…D Bar is no ordinary dessert place. It encompasses the art of cooking 🙂

Each dish comes out looking stunning and almost (I said ALMOST :D) too good to eat. Though I didn’t get to try the jittery monkey this dish looked amazing…vanilla cheesecake with rum, banana, graham cracker, coffee chantilly, and coffee brittle.

Though typically I am sipping beer tasters, the thought of a hot chocolate taster was equally intriguing. We tasted the white, Mexican and salted caramel hot chocolate. Each were deliciously chocolatey though my favorite was the white chocolate. It was delicate and light on the sweet side which made it very enjoyable. The salted caramel was the opposite…still very delicious but very sweet with caramel.

The Shades of Grey was my selection of choice…it was an array of chocolate, orange and cookie crunch goodness. Though I lack the exact memory of the contents, you could not go wrong with any one of these desserts.

The d=mc2 was another fabulous dessert with milk chooclate, salted caramel, peanuts and praline, rice krispies and chocolate ice cream. Though the many ingredients and flavors may seem overwhelming, each dish was the perfect proportion and delicately made to stimulate the taste buds and satisfy that sweet craving 😀

D Bar is a great place to take a date or enjoy an evening out with a friend. D Bar is typically quite busy and you may have to wait a little while but it is worth it. Don’t hesitate to sit at the bar; that is where all the action happens!
